If You Have A Question, I’ll Try To Have An Answer!

The main reason I started I Press On is to help start a lasting conversation about depression and postpartum depression within the African-American community.  It is especially important to get people who have never experienced depression and people from all races to join this effort.  While I Press On targets a certain group (because they need it more than others), the conversation is for everyone, and ultimately so is the information. It is going to take all types of people to help spread awareness within the African-American community. I am thankful that so many have caught the vision. I am especially thankful for the support I receive from men and as well as women of other races. The I Press On community is growing and I couldn’t be more proud.

The weekly blog is important to the growth of I Press On. Writing a weekly blog is a huge commitment. One of the biggest challenges is creating interesting content each week.  What you might not know is that often times my topics come from the readers of the blog.  From time to time someone in the I Press On community will ask me a question that helps inspire that week’s post. So, what I would like to do is make this process a more official component to the blog. I am going to open it up for you the reader to ask me a question, and from there I will post a response.  You’ve read my posts so you know that the content and format varies so no question is off limits. If I can’t answer it, I will direct the question to someone who can.  I want to make you the reader more involved.

Listen, I am not a licensed therapist and I am definitely not advocating for you not to seek therapy. But, I am a depression life coach and I can definitely use my experience with depression and postpartum depression to answer your questions to the best of my ability.  If you would like to participate, please email your question to info.ipresson@gmail.com. (Please know that I don’t have to post your name.) Let’s expand this conversation. And as always…let’s press on together!
