The month of March is the month we celebrate Women’s History. It wasn’t long ago that American women had little to no rights. The women’s suffrage movement helped to raise the constitutional status of women from that of being subservient to men to having an independent voice.
The fight for the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution wasn’t easy. One of my favorite docufilms is Ironed Jawed Angels. This film depicts some of the struggles American women faced to gain the right to vote.
