It’s been a week since Rae Carruth was released from prison, and I literally can’t find the words to write about it. I spent all last week trying to find the words…nothing. Fortunately, the Charlotte Observer has it covered. The media outlet produced a podcast Carruth that covers the story of Rae Carruth and Cherica Adams. Listening to the podcast will take you on an emotional journey. It might be difficult to listen to, but I think that the rawness speaks to the quality of the production.
I might not be able to put my recent feelings about the release of Carruth into writing, but I am quoted on the first episode of the podcast. Cherica Adams was my friend and to this day she continues to have a positive impact on my life. I’m happy that her memory continues to live on.
Let’s continue to keep her mother Saundra Adams and her son Chancellor in our prayers. And as always, let’s press on together!
